Desserving Reward and the Ghost of Good Governance
When confronting the realities of how the Bandala Administration really have shaped the Oroquieta communities, many people forget how their accomplishments have also shaped the Oroquietanian lives. The very factors (emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual), are the very least mentioned when facing reality of how their administration have impacted Oroquieta City. Although, poverty still remains a big issue in Oroquieta City, that is beyond the Bandala's total control because poverty is a national issue, not local. However, it is inevitably clear how the Bandalas' have unquestionably tried to battle it with almost "bare hands."
Many of us, through this website, have tried to emphasize a neutral zone by viewing the reality of what Oroquieta was Yesterday versus Today. By showing the progress and improvements, we are not advocating one political party against the other. We are simply reminding Oroquietanians that the relentless drive for the Bandalas to achieve an ever-commendable high performance, also drove many relentless antagonism. At this point, it is undeniably clear that there are many who are not just looking at the overall welfare of Oroquieta, but their own personal interests as well.
Oroquieta City must continue to progress and prosper, but without the cohesiveness (that is almost impossible to have at this point), the goal for ultimate economic boost will be far fetched. Why? It is because animosity and divisiveness not only erode people's minds, but also their spiritual and physical drive to excel.
For now, it is time for the Bandalas to look and sit back that a job was well done. In recognition of the effective leadership that built Oroquieta's atmospheric accomplishment and pride, the country Phillipines has made a unanimous decision to give Mayor Nancy her reward. She is going to Manila next week to receive the Award of the City POC being the best performing POC in Component City Category nationwide. Despite pitfalls, Mayor Nancy paved her administration's pathway to success. In behalf of Oroquietanians abroad, we congratulate Mayor Nancy Bandala and her administration for a job well done!
The Ghost of Good Governance
The Ghost of Good Governance is finally haunting Oroquieta City with a good outlook for the future. The former Mayor Ernie Bandala had pushed forth and facilitated the Canubay's "Bonutex." Some few years ago, Mr. Bandala had invited Chinese investor, Ching to come to Oroquieta to evaluate Bunotex for himself. Resulting to that effort, the “Bonutex” in Canubay is now undergoing rejuvenation. It will produce coconut fibers out of the coconut husk "bunot" for export to China. The machineries have arrived a few days ago and more are coming next week. Congratulations, Oroquieta for a Good Product from a Good Past.
