Provincial Capitol
The provincial capital of Misamis Occidental is Oroquieta City. The capitol building is located on the hillside of Oroquieta City. The Capitol building has undergone several repairs and improvements since it was built many many years ago.
During the administration of former Governor Ernie Clarete several improvements to the Capitol building have been made. Among them are the addition of the Cultural Center, and the Hall of Justice where the Regional Trial Court is located. The beautiful view and layout of its entire location add to the beauty of the Provincial Capitol.
The aerial view of the capitol describes its overall location and structure. Located in the middle and surrounded by two semicircular buildings is the main Capitol building, and behind it is an airconditioned building that houses the Provincial Government functions.
The Hall of Justice is a rectangular big white roof building shown on the left lower side of the main Capitol building.
The white circle at the center of the quadrangle is a beautiful fountain, while the left side of the quadrangle is the Capitol Drive that passes through the rice fields. Looking at the overall aerial view picture, the Capitol Building is nestled in the surrounding rice fields of Barangay Lower Lamac.
